Lyndsay Fergus

My printing career started at Camberwell Art School in London in the 80’s where I undertook a degree in fine art printed textiles. During the following years I exhibited widely in Cork Street , London and Paris, Japan, Germany, and New York before returning to my homeland of Scotland in the 90’s where I continued to practise professionally before focussing on raising my 4 children. When they were older my husband and I established and developed The Mart site in East Linton passing it on to its current owners in 2018 . Lockdown enabled me to rekindle my love of printmaking and casting and I now work full time as an artist and also teach printmaking and plaster casting classes and workshops at The Poldrate Arts Centre in Haddington and Dukes Fine Art Gallery in West Barns. Throughout the year I attend various markets in Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders.
