Integral to my practice is the mapping, exploring and gathering of social history, lore and cultural traditions. I am interested in information that is forgotten or marginalised in the belief that it is provincial, obscure or no longer important. Such beliefs are often mistaken and by the discovery of these stories it is possible to shed light on our current human condition. By sharing this knowledge as an artist in a fresh and accessible way I enable people to develop new relationships with a place, its history and our lives within it.
