Rachel Brown
Rachel Brown’s monoprint botanical work captures the quiet beauty of plants using a layered, intuitive process. Each piece begins with gathered plants, leaves, stems, and seed heads—often from her own garden—arranged on an inked gel plate to create delicate, one-of-a-kind impressions. These prints preserve the fine details and natural forms of each plant, celebrating their textures, silhouettes, and seasonal shifts. Rachel uses her monoprinted papers to construct sculptural forms such as paper jugs, houses, and artist books—bringing a tactile, dimensional quality to her work. Through both print and paper sculpture, she explores ideas of nature, home, and memory, blending printmaking with a quiet, contemplative sensibility.
